Heard about food forests but not sure what they are? Know a bit about food forests and want to know more? Know the theory but want some practical experience before you plant your own? Come join us at the food forest workshop at Mossy Banks Farm in North Cowichan on June 12-14th. Led by Brandon Bauer, permaculturalist and food forester extraordinaire, Friday night (7-9:30pm) will be an evening of instruction on the what’s, how’s and why’s of food forests. On Saturday and Sunday (8:30-4:30, lunch included), we will be planting a 3/4 acre food forest under Brandon’s supervision and constant “teaching moments.” Bring gardening gloves, sun hats and join us for a weekend of learning, fun and a bit of hard but deeply satisfying work. For more information go to https://mossybanks.wordpress.com/. Space is limited to 20 people and the workshop is filling up fast, so contact Lynn at lwytenbroek@shaw.ca to register today!
