Location
Tiny Tree Herb FarmThis certificate program provides training for participants who are seeking to create and design regenerative food and medicine systems within resilient communities. It provides robust curriculum in permaculture design, including basic permaculture training as well as related courses in business planning and project management, perennial and annual food systems, foraging, herbal production and processing, and water systems. There is a specific focus on seasonally appropriate (early spring) growing and design considerations. The program is primarily held on-site at our two campus farms on the Saanich Peninsula on Vancouver Island, with some classes and workshops also taking place at the Pacific Rim College campus in downtown Victoria. Classroom-based lectures and theory are paired with hands-on experiential learning.
Two additional certificate programs are offered in the Spring and Fall that add to this program. Students who complete all 3 earn a Permaculture Design and Resilient Ecosystems Diploma.
